[visit-developers] merging two avtDataObject that avtDataRepresentation???

Thanks everyone,

Had a second option which was to do this step at the VTK level. Which in some ways was the correct corse of action because the vtk filters were stripping data when they should not have. Those at Ktware agreed this should be an option.
