[visit-developers] downloading VisIt executable on Yosemtite

Well, for 2.9.1 anyways, I wonder if the problem is my checkin/commit of that.

It was the first time I ever committed a .dmg file for a VisIt release and I wonder if I should have *also* done some kind of a propset either for svn:mime-type or svn:executable?

Hi Everyone,

I don’t see the behavior in Chrome on my mac, it looks like to do see it with firefox.

There is a chance the web server could be sending the wrong mime header, something we should look into.

Hmm. When I click on VisIt-2.9.1.dmg from Chrome, it initiates the download and then downloads fine.

In your case, your browser appears to be trying to actually 'render' the downloaded file.

Have you run into this before? Are you using a different browser than you ever have in the past to download? Do you know if there is some setting that Chrome has to tell it to render or not render certain kinds of files? Here is info on Chrome version I am using. . .

Mac OS X 10.8.5
Version 42.0.2311.152 (64-bit)

I tried to click on several, including 2.9.1 and am getting what is
shown on the attached screenshot.

Thank you,
Sveta
